Location: North Lake Hodges

Date: Saturday, January 13, 2007

Time : 8:00am, at North Lake Hodges Trailhead Parking Lot  (ride will begin promptly at 8:15am).

Directions:  Take I-15 to Via Rancho Parkway (the North County Fair exit).  Go East on Via Rancho Parkway, and make the first right just after the gas stations, at Sunset Drive.  Continue a short distance to the end of Sunset Drive.  There is a parking lot at the end and plenty of parking on the street.  The trailhead is at the parking lot.

Look for the Maranatha Bike Ministry Banner!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This is a beginner/intermediate-level ride of the North Lake Hodges Trail, with fire roads, single track trails, rolling climbs, and smooth descents.  We will start the ride at the parking area trailhead, and head west toward the damn.  It is a 2–3 hour, 13 to 17 mile
out-and-back ride, meaning we will return to our starting point on the same trail.

-We will also have a short devotional in the shady area of Martha’s Grove on  2 Corinthians 5:16-21.  It is not necessary to bring a bible.

All participants must bring the following items to ride with the group:

1. Helmet
2. Lots of water!!!!
3. Eye protection (branches)
4. Sunscreen.

Location: Sycamore Canyon

Date: Saturday, February 17, 2007

Time : 8:00am, at Sycamore Canyon Trailhead Parking Area

Directions:  From I-15 exit at Poway Road, east.  Take Poway Road to Garden Road (7-11 store on the corner).  Turn right on Garden Road, east to Sycamore Canyon Road (about 1 mile).  Take Sycamore Canyon Road south to the parking lot at the end of the road.

Look for the Maranatha Bike Ministry Banner!

We will meet in the trailhead parking lot at 8:00.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
We consider Sycamore Canyon an intermediate ride with some technical downhill areas on the descent to Martha’s Grove and two climbs: one before the downhill to Martha’s and another at the end of the ride which takes us back to the parking area. We will be doing a 2-mile warm up ride on the “top of the hill” loop before we start the actual Sycamore loop. Overall we will be riding about 12 miles, and we expect the ride to take about 2-1/2 hours.

-We will also have a short devotional in the shady area of Martha’s Grove on  Hebrews 3:7-15.  It is not necessary to bring a bible.

All participants must bring the following items to ride with the group:

1. Helmet
2. Lots of water!!!!
3. Eye protection (branches)
4. Sunscreen.
