The Funny Side of Parenting
One dad said, "I have four kids and I'm better off than the man who has four million dollars. I know that because the man who has four million dollars wants five."

Parenting Insights You Can Use NOW
Attitude is a window into a child's heart. Don't ignore it but don't simply deal with the behavior. Keep in mind that attitudes have three components: behavior, emotion, and thinking errors.
When kids believe the wrong things they often respond with a bad attitude. For example, some kids believe that chores are Mom's work, or that my anger is justified because my brother is annoying, or homework is a waste of time.
Use creativity to challenge thinking errors and you'll be doing some heart work on the attitudes your kids experience. Much of parenting is convincing our children that our values and beliefs are truly the best ones. It's hard work but it's worth it in the end.
For more on addressing bad attitudes in children, take a look at the book, "Good and Angry: Exchanging Frustration for Character in You and Your Kids."
